It’s the weekend! Why not branch out and visit a new area of Seoul this time around?

It seems like everyone has been to Shincheon once or twice to meet someone that lives near there. It’s a nice little area with some great places to enjoy.

Realized a map would probably be beneficial. I also found:

  • a Korean blog with some nice pics of Aladdin
  • an older blog post about Pao Pao (seriously, the Jjinbang there is my favorite wintertime comfort food in the world)
  • the Naver Cafe for Burn
  • pics of the awesome liquor at Mr. Saimon (also a favorite gathering place of the Korea scotch Malt Whiskey Society).

Then my browser crashed and I gave up

If you appreciate ZenKimchi why not buy us a cup o' coffee?

That was a great report.

Twice a week I have a private lesson at that station. I’ll try both the coffee places soon.

I’ll share this memory device: The vowel sound “uh” in 신천 (the site of your report) rhymes with “under.” Sincheon is “under” the river (i.e. south of the river).

Conversly, “Sinchon” has the vowel sound “oh”; it is “over” the river (i.e. north of the river).

Your map is great. I wonder if you might include north/south/east/west directions in your next report, e.g. “I’m heading south from the station, now turning west on this street” etc.

Hey, thanks a lot. I’ll consider adding N/S/E/W orientations on the map next time. I figured the subway exit numbers would be most beneficial to people.
