Thanks! I just love food, and I have an attention deficit disorder -- so I get bored with the same old thing very quickly. I was also the kid in the cafeteria who would mix his green beans with his mashed potatoes and stuff them in his roll to gross out the girls.

Chicken feet is not too far from that :)

Also, Weigook Saram's site is great. I read it often. Getting tips on marrying a Korean before I can convince my girlfriend to marry me, against her better judgement.

I came over from Weigook Saram’s website. So far I’m enjoying your encounters with Korean food. I have to say, though, that the chicken feet one kind of skeeved me out. You are brave to try to prepare them yourself!

It’s a mushroom. I think in American supermarkets they’re called “Enoki” mushrooms.

And… had no idea there was clotted cow’s blood in there until I did research on it.

Hey, do you know the name of the vegetable (?) lying on top of the soup in your first picture? I saw it in a bowl of meuntang the other day and I was wondering what it was.
