Avocado Sighting!

I was picking up some dalk galbi and other things at E-Mart when I spied avocados in the fruit section–and not 10,000 a piece, either! I got me a pack of three for under 4,000 won.

Has anyone else seen avocados this cheap in Korea (Costco and PX don’t count).

Costoco often carries a large bag of about 10 or so for a reasonable price…pretty good quality too.
For some reason…I just can’t look at an avacado without thinking of George Carlin’s “GUACAMOLEEEEE!!” routine. Anyone out there have the same mnemonic problems?

I am so there! I’ve never really liked the ones at Costco, maybe because I have a problem catching them just as they are ripe and before they start to turn.

I’ve ocassionally found them at a small grocery near our apartment (in the organic section) and I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve paid 7,000 won for *one*. I’ve also found them at the Shinsegae before, but usually only in bulk (ditto for limes).
