This is the Korean restaurant to go to if you are new to Korean cuisine. This is the Korean restaurant to go to if you are a jaded veteran. Most young talented Korean chefs go into foreign cuisines, like Italian and French. The guys at Bean Table (Dudukhansang) are passionate for Korean cuisine. We know that farm-to-table has become a cliche, but these folks really live it. The food comes from a small plot of land outside. They make their own tofu . The beans they use for their tofu are grown only on a small patch of land for consistency. And it’s rich and flavorful! This is the taste of the country. This is the taste of refined Korean food. People have joked that I don’t like Korean fine dining because I don’t like fancy restaurants. It’s because most Korean fine dining is fake pretension. These guys get it! Bean Table is not fine dining. It is sophisticated. It is refined dining.
