Touch of Spice 터치오브스파이스
Location: Jongno
Cuisine: Asian

Suggested Items: Crab Cakes, Sichuan Chicken
Pan-Asian places tend to be disappointments when they’re not tied to a specific chef showing off his style. So I was naturally skeptical of Touch of Spice, which seemed like a generic corporate power lunch stop. Yes, there are some elements that make it limp and cheesy, but it also has some great food. The crab cakes are especially pleasing. Served on popsicle sticks, they’re a lot of fun and very crabby. The sauce is a bit sweet for my liking. I also liked the Sichuan chicken, which had a tingling tip-of-the-tongue heat and an addictive flavor. They have good lunch deals and is a good lunch stop if you’re in Myeong-dong.
NOTE: The web site says that they are in Myeong-dong. They were just in Jongno, so there may be some confusion. The address from the website is the basis for the map below.
