Dokk-Bokki..!! With a dry red wine….i won’t tell you what wine to pair with the meat because there are many options, also, the chef is an expert on satisfying you. I suggest a Cab. sav, but if you want beer , there are some select imports.

If you can handle spicy food, i suggest the Spicy Seafood Dokk-bokki. I am from the US, but i love spicy food. I usually see Koreans eating this, but i enjoy it with a dry white.

My female friends usually order the Cheese Pumpkin Dokk Bokki. Of course, I always argue for steak, but this is delicious and my friend’s children love this too.

The owner speaks English very well. He explains the menu and wine selection and does a good job of keeping a cozy atmosphere.

Important! Many restaurants are full of drunk, loud, rude people…..however, this is not that place. There is soft jazz and a very mellow mood.

Wine is gaining popularity in Korea…..slowly. This place is perfect for a romantic evening. I used to live in Mokdong, but recently moved to Hanyang. However, I still take my girlfriend here because we enjoy the food, the chef, and the relaxed environment.

I know many couples that go here, and it is a good place for serious business meetings because it is quiet.

Also, wine and good food are romantic. Come on, Korean guys…… Girls don’t want to watch you drink soju and fall asleep…..
