The Holy Grill is a sacred pilgrimage site to any expat living in Daegu. The quality of this place would compete well with the best burger ‘n’ beer joints in Itaewon. Yet they don’t rest on their laurels. The Holy Grill consists of a 2nd floor main dining room and a 3rd floor sports bar. On Sunday mornings the bar is known as “The Recovery Room.” The staff is friendly, but let’s talk about the food. Yes, yes, their burgers and Tex-Mex do very well. But they also have those comfort foods that expats miss so much. I think they have kidnapped someone’s mom in the midwest and have her trapped in the kitchen. You need to try the meatloaf. The breakfast burrito is another treat, almost a Tex-Mex-Canadian approach to it with sweet smoky home fries. If you ever get a chance to try this in Daegu tell them ZenKimchi said, “Hi.”
